HOW IT WORKS, END TO END
EVE is the voice.
The harness is everything behind her.
An AI model on its own knows nothing about your business. The harness is what surrounds it: the facts she may use, what she remembers, where customers reach her, what she’s allowed to do, and how your team teaches her. Here is each part, using EVE at Feniex as the example.
01 / EVERY DOOR
One assistant. Every way in.
Chat, voice, phone, text and email all reach the same assistant with the same library. Only her delivery changes: short and spoken on a call, fuller in an email.
WHERE CUSTOMERS REACH HER
SHE KNOWS
SHE DOESN’T
“Where’s the install guide for my light bar?”
- 1A customer asks in website chat.
- 2She looks it up in her library of approved facts.
- 3Answered on the spot, with the guide attached.
02 / ONE ANSWER
Listen. Look it up.
Check the rules. Reply.
The model is one step of four. Before it speaks, the harness has already chosen which facts it may use and which actions need a person.
She hears the question, notices which door it came through and which language it’s in, and knows whose account it is — only that one.
Illustrative conversation. Timings are EVE’s measured typical times in website chat and on the phone (1.4–1.6 s to first words, 2.7–3.0 s to a finished reply).
03 / MEMORY
Four kinds of memory.
Each with one job.
“She remembers” means four different things. Keeping them apart is what stops an old note from being read out as today’s fact.
This conversation
minutesWhat was just said, and any corrections, so she stays on topic.
Not:Unlimited word-for-word recall.
The conversation record
kept for the teamEvery chat, call, text and email, for your team to review.
Not:Something other customers can see or search.
Customer notes
weeks to monthsShort notes: who got in touch, what they wanted, what’s still open.
Not:Current order status or balances — those are looked up fresh.
Her library
until you change itApproved documents and lessons your team has taught her.
Not:A raw customer conversation turned into public fact.
04 / WHAT SHE MAY DO
Answering is not acting.
You choose each step up.
Every assistant starts at level one. Each task can move up separately — there’s no single switch that lets her do everything.
- Level 1
Answer only
Where every assistant startsShe answers from approved knowledge and hands the rest to your team.
- Level 2
Prepare for approval
A person approves each oneShe drafts the reply or the change. Nothing leaves until someone says yes.
- Level 3
Run an approved task
One named task at a timeA specific job you’ve approved, like booking a callback — with a receipt every time.
05 / LEARNING
The loop that makes her better.
What she couldn’t answer yesterday becomes what she knows today — because a person answered it once.
- 01
She can’t answer
She says so, and saves the question with the customer’s contact.
- 02
A person answers once
Someone on your team writes the right answer — in one place.
- 03
It’s checked, then taught
Approved answers become lessons in her library. Nothing public is learned by accident.
- 04
Next time, she knows
The next customer who asks gets the answer in seconds.
